Happiness Just Around the Corner!

I have new coaches!
They are a husband and wife team, which I'm very excited about! They put together a new diet for me late last night and it starts tomorrow. And guess what???
IT INCLUDES CARBS!!!
I have been dragging and feeling absolutely miserable since last week. Each day it got worse and I was even feeling depression coming on. I struggled to get through my weight training, which is totally unacceptable. The diet I've been on for the past 4 weeks just didn't suit me AT ALL! I'm excited about working with Ramey and Karen and starting the new diet. I know they will take care of me and do their best to help me succeed.

I look forward to being a MUCH happier me with a lot more energy...and I'm sure my husband and kids feel the same way! =)

13 Weeks Out

We took a few pics this morning before hitting the gym for legs. I will need to take some more pics tomorrow. I think it will still be a few more weeks before I enjoy progress pic day! It usually puts me in a bad mood! =(

I am dragging today....even though we did a pretty hard workout and then I did 4 sets of walking lunges and 4 sets of walking side lunges (holding 10 pound weights with each) before doing an hour of cardio on the treadmill with high incline. Later tonight I will be doing a session of abs and maybe a very light session of cardio afterwards. Even though I am tired and dragging, I know that every day counts and I need to push through it.

I'm already starting to feel the pressure of not enough time! It's getting more and more difficult to stay focused on just the day at hand, but I'm trying. David helps to keep me focused as well. He is great for putting up with all of my bitchiness and helping me to stay positive. His support means a lot to me. Thank you babe! =)

Carb-fest Friday!

Yes, it's that time again....CHEAT NIGHT! David had to work tonight, so it was just the kids and I. We went to Mr. Gatti's and loaded up on pizza on their buffet. I was craving their black bean and tomato pizza, but they don't have it anymore (shows how often I go out to eat for pizza, huh?)! But I was quite satisfied with the rest of their selection!

My daughter decided that she wanted to make me a cake today (in honor of my cheat meal)....this was her first time to ever bake anything. She did pretty good. I had to help her out a bit after I realized that she put in way too much water. Luckily I had another cake mix and we made a double batch. She and her friend frosted the cakes, stacked them, and decorated the top (using a superman symbol). How cute is that?!? I wish I would have gotten a picture of it before they cut it. It tasted quite good....mama was impressed! =)

Of course, cheat night is never complete without the CHOCOLATE ..so I had not quite half of this delicious chocolate bar. The rest went in the freezer until another cheat meal.

Practicing Posing

Tonight we shot some video clips and a few pics while I was practicing my posing at the gym in one of the aerobic rooms. This is all very new to me, so it's a bit uncomfortable. I plan on practicing every day for about 30 minutes. I still need to pick out some music and get a routine together as well, but have several weeks before that all needs to be done.

My body is starting to show results of some of that hard work I've been putting it through. I've lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks, which I'm very happy with! I have a little over 13 weeks to go. You can see definite changes from week to week...which is good, cause the diet and training is VERY demanding. Being able to see the difference helps keep me going sometimes.

Mall Day

After my hour of cardio, we all got ready to hit the mall. I needed some new athletic shoes, so we decided to make a family outing out of it. We checked out several stores and got the kids some yummy ice cream at the Marble Slab. Mama didn't get any! =( But it looked ohhhh so good!

People are so interesting....of course I got TONS of stares, double takes, mouths hanging open, and even people stopping in their tracks (with mouth hanging open and a dead stare)! And my reaction?? Well, I'm like....what's the big damn deal? I have a hard time seeing my size, so it's hard for me to understand why people make a big deal about it all. So, I've learned to just ignore people. My husband says that he finds it amusing to watch people's reaction. Oh well...what can ya do?

We had a good time, bought my shoes, kids got some games, and I found a "ohhhh so sexy" halter that I'm going to wear as a dress! Can't wait to do that photo shoot! =)

Family Night

Today was a FULL day...but a lot was accomplished! We decided to take advantage of the dry, beautiful weather. So the kids, my husband, and I went to Challenger 7 Park. We did a photo shoot there and took LOTS of pics. We also shot some pictures of the kids.
We took a picnic dinner and the kids got to play for a bit. A few mosquitoes munched on us, but it wasn't too bad. We should have known to take some bug spray with all the dang rain we have been having!

Then we went to Space City Laser Tag. We played video games and 2 games of laser tag. It was a lot of fun! Of course, the kids beat the parents! What can we say....they have more experience! =)

John Sherman Classic

What a weekend!

Friday and Saturday we shot pictures for the website...and got a lot of good ones! I'm sure all my members will be quite pleased. =)

Saturday was also the John Sherman Classic bodybuilding and figure show. We had a great time and met some neat people! We also attended a powerlifting meet, which was a lot of fun! I'm seriously considering competing in powerlifting in my offseason!

Cheat Night at Chili's

Tonight was my cheat night! I love Fridays! hehehe
After a photo shoot, my husband took me out to eat at Chili's (one of my favorite restaurants)! We had a good time relaxing, chatting, and eating some wonderful food....especially the dessert!

I got a variety of things (appetizers- chicken crispers and fries and an awesome blossom, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob), but wasn't able to eat much since my stomach has grown accustomed to the very small meals I have been eating for almost 3 weeks now. But the kids and David will get to enjoy all the left-overs. I had to make sure there was room for dessert! And it was HEAVEN! No left-overs there! ;) David and I licked it clean! YUM! YUM!

So far the dieting has been going good. Of course, I'm still having to adjust. It's not easy to all of a sudden cut out basically all carbs! I'm craving ALL kinds of stuff! Believe me when I say that I look forward to my weekly cheat meal! In fact, throughout the week I think of all the yummy things I want to eat on that meal! It does give me something to look forward to! So now Friday is my favorite day of the week! hehehe So far it has been mexican food and warm brownies with chocolate brownie fudge ice cream! YUM! YUM!

My weight training is still right on...still been hitting it hard and heavy. I was worried that the lack of carbs would affect my training, but so far it hasn't...which is AWESOME! Although, the day after a no-fat day I'm very sluggish! But those are only 1 every 4 days right now. I can already see a difference in my body...as can my husband. Being able to see that difference does help! My body is tightening up and looking leaner. In a couple of weeks I will start sharing some progress pics.

Four-Wheelin Fun!

We did a photo shoot today and had a blast doing it! We went to Becca and Chester's house and we all went four-wheelin. It was the perfect weather! It's been raining a lot, so there was lots of mud and water. Plus, it was raining off and on while we were riding. I got REALLY muddy! We all had fun and I got lots of really good (and sexy) pics for my website. Can't wait to do that again! =)

Off to the gym for chest!

Going for it!

I have decided that I'm going to compete at the NPC Texas State competition in Stafford on October 27, 2007. I'm a bit scared (because it is my first time) and excited at the same time!

I will continue to keep you updated on my progress and post pictures as time progresses. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement....and keep them coming over the next 16 weeks! =)

Should I Compete?

I'm currently considering whether or not I should compete THIS year instead of waiting til next year as planned. I am going to need to make my decision rather quickly, because the show that I'm considering is just a little under 17 weeks away. It's here in Houston, which is one of the reasons I'm considering it. Everyone keeps telling me that I have plenty of mass to compete, even though I don't think I'm big enough. My husband is strongly encouraging me to go for it. I'm just not sure I'm mentally ready.

Should I go for it?
