Chest Day

Today was chest day. Had to squeeze my lifting into a 40 minute time frame...I hate it when that happens! So I couldn't go as heavy as I usually do, since I didn't have as much time to recover from each set. But I definitely got my pump on!

My chest and shoulders were lookin awesome! I'm noticing a difference in my body already, which is exciting! I can see it tightening up and the muscles are looking fuller. Not to mention, I'm feeling fantastic! I can't believe how much I'm enjoying the 45 minute AM cardio....sickening, huh? =)

Thanks for the Love!

Thank you so much for all the emails and messages of concern for my son! It is very touching that so many of you took the time to show your love and support! Kyle is doing fine. He had his follow up visit with his doctor yesterday and all is good. He is starting to move around a bit more and work out the soreness.

I am doing much better also! It took a few days, but the shock has worn off and I'm now able to sleep! What an ordeal!
Kids....gotta love 'em! =)

Trying to Get Back to Normal

I took some video at the gym tonight doing shoulders and biceps. Then took some snap shots when we got home. I will update these pics wearing the same clothes in a couple of weeks.

Some people have asked for a picture of me measuring my arms....so there it is...all 16 inches! =)

I'm still quite tense and stressed over the incident last night. It's not every day that you see your child laying in the street, being loaded into an ambulance, and then loaded into a helicopter! I didn't sleep much at all. It's constantly in my thoughts. I know that it was nothing but a miracle that Kyle only had scrapes and bruises! Thank you God for your hand of protection! I'm sure that with time everything will feel normal again. But for now, I'm really having a hard time letting go.

Hit by a Truck!

Hmmm...well, ummm...today was exciting (a HUGE understatement)! My oldest son, Kyle (13 years old), was hit by a truck early this evening! He was taken by helicopter to a Houston hospital. Amazingly, he had no broken bones and no internal injuries! He is bruised up and has what they call "road rash" on his stomach and arms. But nothing that a few days of rest and taking it easy won't cure. Of course, we will be following up with his doctor in a few days. We are more than blessed...God and his angels were watching over Kyle and our family tonight!

Kyle is such a good kid. While he was laying in the road being attended to by the EMTs, he was trying to comfort the elderly woman that hit him. She was crying and quite upset and he felt bad for her. And when I got there, his first words to me were, "I'm sorry, Mom." What the heck can you say to that?

Once again, our friends Chester and Becca came to our aide! They jumped right in and picked up our other 3 children. They kept them at their house where they fed them and entertained them all night. That was such a relief not to have to worry about them and it allowed our families the freedom to come to the hospital if they chose to. Thank you so much Chester and Becca! We are truly blessed to call you our friends!

Needless to say, I didn't make it to the gym tonight to do weights. We weren't able to leave the hospital until 12am. But some things are just more important...and the gym can wait a day.

Last night at my in-law's, my husband came across a sword of his brother's. He thought it was so cool and borrowed it to use in an upcoming photo shoot. He is actually looking at a few other swords as well. I've asked one of my sisters to make me some costumes to wear in those shoots....there will be several. That should be a lot of fun.

Father's Day

What an interesting day it has been so far! I woke up late this morning, because I was up til 5am making Father's Day treats! It was a lot of fun doing that again. I used to have my own business where I specialized in 16" chocolate chip cookie cakes. I know...it's kind of odd that I love to bake fattening stuff! haha But I'm quite good at it and I love being creative! I made a 16" cookie cake, small heart cookie cakes, and cookie ice-cream sandwiches!
I was on my way to my dad's for lunch today and I got a flat tire! I was alone with my four kids, since my husband had to work today. Of course, I have never changed a tire before and I wasn't real sure of the process (mainly of where to place the jack). So a WONDERFUL friend of ours came to our rescue! THANK YOU CHESTER! =) Unfortunately, the "dummy tire" wasn't in much better shape than the flat. But it was good enough to get me to NTB, where I purchased a new tire. I had to wait over an hour with four children who hadn't eaten lunch yet! Not much fun! We finally were all piled back in the van at 3:20pm. So I didn't get to see my dad today. =( He was very understanding though and agreed to reschedule for next weekend. Love you, Dad!

Tonight will be spent with my husband and his family. Hopefully, things will go much smoother!

Hungry yet??? hehehehe

Family AND Puppies!

We have been nursing one of our puppies back to good health. We have 3 lab puppies - Sophie (golden), Izzie (chocolate), and Jack (black). They are 12 weeks old. Apparently, they got hook worms from their mama (Ashley - who is nearly 10 years old). They all seemed fine, except for Sophie. She lost a lot of weight, had continued vomiting, and wouldn't eat or drink. She is doing MUCH better now. Having to take care of her this past week has reminded me of when my kids were babies. Boy am I glad those days are behind me! Those were some long nights! Although I know I still have tough times ahead....THE TEENAGE YEARS!

My training is going much smoother now that I'm feeling better. I'm doing my 45 minutes of cardio every morning before breakfast and then weights in the afternoon/evening. I'm very eager to see changes in my body. =) I've actually been enjoying the cardio...which is kind of strange.

My website is really coming along! I love the work that Cline has done. He really has done an awesome job of putting together the look that I wanted. He is awesome at what he does! It should be ready for memberships by mid to late next week.

Sick

I have been fighting a cold/sinus thing for over a week now! I think I am finally over the worst of it. I gave myself lots of rest and some time off from weights in order to recover. I'm looking forward to being 100% again.

The website is coming along! I'm so excited to see the final pages! Not too much longer now! =)

Back at it!

It has been a while since I have made an entry. I have been busy trying to get a website up! I finally found a webdesigner to do my site and he is FANTASTIC! I know I am going to be very pleased with his work. I'm hoping we can get it up and running in a couple weeks.
My training has changed a bit. I'm now leaning out for the next two months. After that I will go back to adding mass. So far I'm actually enjoying the extra cardio and so far the dieting hasn't been difficult. I'm looking forward to seeing what my body will look like in two months!
My new stats are:
arms-16" chest-41" legs-25"
This above pic is from a week ago....can't wait to see the difference!
